CNY Week | Written by 【 Uniquely XC™ 】

This week had been really hectic, people spam visit my house, preparing food, going to other people's house. There is only one upside to this, hong baos. Lol

Just your typical Chinese new year

Thursday was my HCSE auditions, playing Handel Sonata IV and Smetana Moderato from the Homeland. Dr Tan was quite nice, said my playing was not bad, just need to exaggerate the dynamics more. Got it!

Friday was badminton day, went all the way to ulu segar for badminton with randy, baolin, Jin hao, Philemon, Matt and Hong de
Realised my badminton skills were super lousy as compared to the rest, only consolation is that when I team up with the right people, we can win :)

Cancelled my phone servicing appointment to go to Philemon's house to play bridge and mahjong, finally I know how to play this game liao *yays*

After about 3 rounds, I need to rush off to HCSE rehearsal, booked a cab and back to civilisation lol

Rehearsal was quite uneventful and that marks the end of a special week

Orientation next week, 'looking forward' to it

Not really looking forward to tomorrow's day of lecture and selection tests....

A belated Celebration | Written by 【 Uniquely XC™ 】

Ahh finally, after a couple weeks of planning, it was finally the gathering before we all start school and go our separate subject combis. Since it was only 3 days after Matt's birthday, we decided to buy matt a cake and celebrate his birthday at my house as a surprise.

Meet up with wilfred and zhou quan at around 11am + (Supposed to be 10.40 but as usual, they were late -.-) Bought a blackforest cake from Bengawan solo and cabbed to my place, I know it is very near, but we were rushing for time. Reached my house in about 2 mins and since wilfred wanted to register for SMTP and KI test, zhou quan showed him the url. chatted awhile and ate some snacks from japan.

Wilfred tried to play starcraft *his first time* and was so noob that I was laughing with zhou quan as we watched him screw up *lol*

Went out again to the new pizza hut lot 1 for lunch, was so full after all the snack attack that we didnt really finish what we had order -.- Was a bit late, causing matt to wait for us at lot 1, cabbed again to my house since Randy was fast arriving.

I have to admit i was hopeless at preparing birthday cakes, in the end, it was zhou quan and wilfred who set up the candles while I cleaned the wax that had dripped -.-Matt made a wish and everyone had their slice of the cake with Zhou quan refusing to eat the cream as it was unheatlhy, but the last time i check, he ate it.

had some incessant argument about the colour blue, for more info, refer to randy or matt's blogs. Played badminton, wilfred was running all over the place, blatantly ignoring the line drawn to separate the right from the left, leaving such a small play area. Had to keep shouting to stop him from turning a 2v2 into a 2v1. Because of this and also due to the absence of a net (most of randy and matt's shots were below the net), we lost the match....

went back up after an hour or so and played xbox, Randy and Matt were absolutely HOPELESS at playing racing games, regardless of street racing of rallying. However, I am surprised by wilfred's skills, he is quite good considering it is his first time playing.

LOL, the last race of the day was the most comical, wilfred was leading me in the last lap and at the last corner there was a pole at the side of the track right before the finishing, having avoided it for the previous laps, wilfred hit the pole straight on, allowing me to whizz past him and win the race LOL!

Definitely one of the most enjoyable days of this holidays and I definiely hope to have such a gathering again, June hols perhaps?

A long awaited Gathering | Written by 【 Uniquely XC™ 】

It was something that I had waited for in years, I had tried to enter the school and meet Mr Ong for years, but was always chased out by the pesky guards who were supposed to protect the school children from harm, BUT what kind of harm can 2 16 year olds inflict on them??

Thankfully, this tuesday Mr Ong is coming out of the school to meet us. Contemplated on giving a gift to him, but in the end, it became a last minute card, but alas, it was the thought that really mattered. Each of us signed on it and wrote a note of utmost appreciation to him.

Met up with few of my long lost primary school buddies, Daniel, Daryl and Kapilan and reminded ourselves of the silly things that we did in pri sch, such as the continuous quarelling between me and another girl called Bo Jia and how we called each other stupid names that still cannot be forgotten.

Chatted for about an hour or so before the we decided to have dinner, went to Long John silver in BPP for dinner. Insisting on healthy living, I ordered a grilled fish set with SALAD, which cost me a bomb. After dinner, we decided to play pool, so the whole gang of us Daryl, Kapilan, Weiern, Yong Quan and me went to Mambo pool for an hour of pool. It is one of my first time playing pool, but I have to say beginner's luck really helped to pocket some balls, including a 2 in a row pocket! Haha Hope this beginner's luck would never run out lol

On the way back, we discussed plans for another outing like this, but the question still remains, would our busy schedules and commitments put the next outing permenently on hold and would our friendship still remain as strong? I guess only time would tell
